FIMI employs 100 people who work at the three production sites in Italy, the one in China and the latest in Germany. The production program comprises:
Cut-to-length lines - Slitting lines - Packing lines for slit coils - Recoiling, edge-trimming and inspection lines - Development of automation for coil processing lines - Tube Mills - Tube Finishing Lines.
The lines designed and manufactured in the plants of FIMI are suited for a various range of materials:
Stainless steel - Carbon steel - Painted steel - Tin plate steel - Electrical steel - Automotive steel - High strength steel - Aluminum - Copper and brass.
Strip gauges of the coils processed in the lines range from the thinnest tin plate steel, down to 0,12 mm, to the thickest stainless steel, up to 15 mm and carbon steel, up to 25 mm. Single levelers can process metal sheets up to 30 mm.
Viganò plant was established back in the year 1963, with the aim to engineer, design and manufacture Cut To Length Lines for ferrous and non-ferrous metal coils.
The Viganò premises host the main activities:

- Finance and control
- Research and development
- After Sales Service
The plant in Mapello (Bergamo) is active from 2016 and it's where Fimi Service is located.
Fimi Service is the division of FIMI which operates in the field of:
- Trasformation of mechanical groups
- After-sales service with spare parts supply
- Installations of industrial plant and start-up
The industrial complex occupies an area of 8.000 sqm (4.000 sqm covered) where are located technical offices and workshop, and where are employed more than 40 people, including designers and technicians.
Barzanò plant was founded in the year 1988 with the brand name SA.MO., a company fully dedicated to engineer, design and manufacture slitting and packing lines for ferrous and non-ferrous metal strips.
The Company SA.MO. has been completely incorporated in the brand name FIMI on January 2010.
Shanghai branch office was established in the year 1997 and in the year 2006 adopted the short name FMS (Fimi Machinery Shanghai).
The office employs a team of engineers, with the aim to develop the Chinese market, and support the installation and after sales service to our numerous customers in China.
Since 2017, FIMI Service Division in Germany is able to guarantee timeliness and efficiency in maintenance and technical intervention activities in Germany and Northern Europe.
